Middle School

At Creative Pathways Preparatory Academy, our approach is based on rigorous, individually tailored curriculum and interest based learning. We understand that all students learn differently, and we work with each student to develop their own individual learning path. Parents are encouraged to help plan their child's academic path. We also incorporate blended learning into our curriculum .Students learn best when they are actively involved in their education. Our curriculum is designed in such a way that we use both a spiral and mastery approach to learning. We strongly feel that topics need to be mastered before moving on, however, they also must be reviewed from time to time. We have a very eclectic way of teaching and do not use just one text book for every child. Our students are taught through a multitude of different learning philosophies and styles. This is done by incorporating daily hands on, auditory, visual lessons. In addition to students' education, CPPA teaches important lifestyle skills and values in the preparatory program. K-5th grade students all have their math and language arts curriculum tailored to them. Teachers are trained to be able to monitor each student working at different levels. Daily oversight and tutoring is available.

Welcome to our Middle School program at Creative Pathways Preparatory Academy. Students in grades 6-8 will learn in a blended learning environment. There will be in-person teachers, online classes, individualized curriculum, hands on labs, group projects, interest based learning, teacher oversight, and one-on-one tutoring. We use the rotation model to teach students. There will be designated time for live classes, individual courses, and group projects and labs.
Parents are encouraged to help plan the learning path for their child. We have hundreds of courses to choose from ranging from honors, AP, dual enrollment at Daytona State College, and many more. Please see our course guide.
We believe in interest based career learning. When a student's work is complete for the day or week, they are allowed to work on classes or course work that they have an interest in. For example, if a student is interested in a career in computer engineering, CPPA will find extra courses and resources to help develop this interest.
CPPA also rewards students on Fridays if they have completed all their work for the week by allowing them to work on career-based learning, and to have some outdoor social time. Students must maintain good grades to participate and have no disciplinary actions against them.
